Grade #3 cabin grade sold AS IS, no return and no warranty.

If you are looking for flooring at a great value and enjoy projects that may entail some extra labor, then #3 graded flooring may be the best option for you. Grade #3, Common 3, Utility, Cabin, Value Grade are all different names for the same grade flooring. It’s the lowest grade flooring after grades: Select, #1, Common1, #2, Common2.

It has a warm rustic cabin ambiance in oak consisting of small, large and pocket knots with veins running through it. Matching wood filler should be used to fill these knots (recommended filler Bona Pacific Filler). Expect the flooring boards to be random length ranging from less than 1 foot to 3 feet. Consider that there will be flaws in the flooring boards and that extra labor may be necessary. Flaws on your flooring may be amended simply by filling pocket knots with wood filler and squaring off insignificant cracks on the butt joint, short splits or broken tongue and grooves.  Some boards may have an "x" marked on them.  When boards are run through the mill, they are marked with an "x" to indicate that boards are a grade #3, common grade, or value grade.  These boards do not qualify for Select down to #2 and that is why they are sold at lower prices. The “x” will be sanded off when finishing the floor. Please check out how beautiful this flooring can be when it’s finished in the pictures above.

False advertising

I ordered this 8" wide oak #3 flooring on 12/3/2021. I left a poor review on 1/4/2022 due to false advertising of the product. I have noticed my review has since been deleted along with another poor review so I will re-post. I will attach a screenshot of the original ad that they have since corrected which, in my opinion, shows that they realize a mistake was made. I brought this to their attention but management still refused to make it right. The original ad stated "Expect flooring boards to be random length ranging from 1 foot to 3 feet ". They have changed this to "Expect flooring boards to be random length ranging from less than 1 foot to 3 feet ". I am not upset that a mistake was made but I am extremely disappointed in the management for refusing to correct the order. Unfortunately they have lost a customer and I will never recommend this company to anyone simply based on how the management chooses to treat their customers. I am also a business owner and I know what it is like to lose income due to mistakes on my part but it is an important business ethic to make it right with the customer. I don't know how a business will be successful while taking advantage of its customers.

Hi Mr. Dempsey, We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your experience with us and the material you purchased.
The item is clearly described on our website and is listed 'as is/no warranty' product that is reflected in the very low price we are selling it at. There is no guarantee of board lengths in any of the unfinished products since they are a raw material. It states clearly in the description that boards are 'short boards', and it's grade #3 and that is the lowest of the 4 grades options this material solid. You are welcome to contact us and we can inform you the length of the grades #2, #1 and selects. We are honest and straight forward company, we even have a multiple pictures on the product page of the for installed that other customers sent us because they are very satisfied with the product, and it's showing clearly that most of the boards are short boards. If you like we will be glad to help and switch the flooring to the higher grades to get the length you are looking for. We are looking forward to hearing from you.
